Backgammon Off line Tournaments

There are numerous tournaments in October for backgammon players in both the US and Europe. Some of the more prestigious tournaments are in Europe including The Swiss Open Championships, The Finnish Open, 6th French Open and The 16th Irish Open. The highlight of the month will be The European Couples Open Championship which runs at the same time as The French Open.
Tournaments in the US draw a large audience who look for new rising stars. The winners from these events move up to the US championships and then may win their way into the World Backgammon Championship.
